CHALLENGES

Here is where all my 35 BEFORE 35 challenges will be listed. The more I look at this page, the more anxious but excited I get. Organising the dates, logistics and training for each will be the first challenge. I’m exhausted already! I will be announcing my challenges on here and over on my social media over the next 20 months.

I don’t want to give anything away just yet, but I’ve got to say, I’m very excited! I really don’t know how I’m going to juggle these activities/training/fundraising/logistics alongside my full-time job but hey, it wouldn’t be a challenge then would it!

I don’t have a full list of 35 challenges yet – I am three challenges short. So this is where you come in! I need your help in sending me suggestions to fill the gaps. Also, why not come along and join me for one?

I was lucky enough to cycle up the Stelvio Pass (officially the third highest mountain in the Alps at 2,757m) in August 2016 with my family. It was a hot day but after passing more than 40 odd hairpin bends mixed with the lack of air the higher we got, we made it to...

Let’s talk food! Ok, so I kind of feel bad that this challenge isn’t a physical one. However, I’ve been thinking about doing this one for a while now as I’ll reap SO many benefits health wise. It’ll also really aid and complement my training. I am ashamed to say this,...

Walking up Snowdon I’ve only climbed one mountain before, the Stelvio Pass in Italy. BUT, that was on two wheels and in the gorgeous Italian summer heat. I wouldn’t normally go out walking long distances as I’m not a keen walker, I like to poodle along. I guess I’m...

Criteria

  • The challenge must be physical or must stretch me mentally – i.e by learning a new sport.
  • All challenges will be self-funded. I have a lot of challenges to complete, so the initial outlay on the majority of them can’t be too expensive.
  • Depending on the challenge suggested, there needs to be enough training time in-between the challenges, particularly on the larger-scale events.
  •  I’ll be completing these challenges in my spare time. Unless I book annual leave, they can’t encroach into my full-time job. I know, where am I going to find the time?
  • All challenges will need to be completed by/on Saturday 14 March 2020 – my 35th birthday!

What are your challenge suggestions? Email gill@35before35.co.uk or head over to my social media channels to give me your ideas.

Come on, don’t be shy – come and join me!

If you do fancy joining me for one of the challenges, then first off, THANK YOU SO MUCH. Any support that I get along the way will be extremely appreciated. You really won’t know how much this means to me along the way so if you fancy any of the challenges as they get announced, then please do get in touch! Unfortunately, I do have to ask that if you choose one of the challenges which require entry fees, overnight accommodation etc. please make sure you have the funds to pay. All my challenges will be self-funded, so as much as I would LOVE to be able to pay for you to join in, my budgets just won’t stretch to it, sorry. Also, please make sure you’re fully fit before taking on any challenge, whether you fancy joining me or if you’ve been inspired to try a challenge out for yourself. Safety first and all that! Head over to the fundraising page to find out why I’m embarking on this crazy adventure. If you would like to donate, then please follow the link below. And if you’re a company/organisation and you would like to know more OR even to get involved and support my adventure, then please do get in touch! You can email gill@35before35.co.uk or head over to my social media channels.
